  • Founder & Managing Partner

    Matt has been passionate about climate & sustainability for the past 15+ years. He was on the Business Development Team at Google and GoogleX for 6 years working on various early-stage projects, including several energy & energy storage projects. He was most recently on the Battery Supply Chain Team at Tesla for 6 years managing the battery mineral supply & battery recycling commercial strategy. For the past 5+ years, Matt has also been building out his family's private market portfolio with a focus on climate investments. He is excited to share his experience & network with other investors who are interested in deploying capital towards climate solutions.


  • Director of Operations

    Sophia joined Englewood Capital to apply her strategy and operations skillset to the climate and sustainability sector. Most recently, she led Strategy & Operations at Meta within the Reality Labs Wearables department, and spent the last 8 years working across Meta’s various business units. She is passionate about technology development and innovation, and has deep expertise in strategic initiative development and business operations planning. Beyond her experience at Meta and Englewood, she is in the process of building her family office and foundation from the ground up.
